WINNIPEG -There is a certain sense of déjà vu heading into tonight's game for the Winnipeg Jets.
Of course, there is the storyline around how important the win and two points would be, that won't change for the next six games.
But for the second straight game, the Jets will welcome in an opponent on the second half of a back-to-back. And, for the second straight game, that opponent is coming in off a win and had to cross the border late last night.
But the Jets don't expect tonight's opponent, the New Jersey Devils (47-20-8), to use that as an excuse.
"We knew Detroit wasn't either and I thought it was full marks for our win the other night," said defenceman Brenden Dillon. "Everybody's first shift is really important. All four lines, all six D, you've got to get yourself into the game, whether that's getting a hit early, getting a good forecheck in, a good O-zone shift, a shot on net, whatever you do best, you need to get going on that early."
