The Winnipeg Jets announced today that they have assigned forward Brendan Lemieux to the Manitoba Moose.
Lemieux, 21, appeared in his first seven career games for the Jets this season after his Oct. 17 recall and scored his first NHL goal on Oct. 29 versus Pittsburgh. He also has five points (3G, 2A) in four games for the Moose this year. The Denver, Colorado native led the Moose with 130 penalty minutes in 2016-17. Lemieux was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the second round (31st overall) in the 2014 NHL Draft and was traded to the Jets on Feb. 11/15.
