WINNIPEG, February 18, 2022 - The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have claimed forward Adam Brooks off waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Brooks, 25, is joining his fourth NHL organization. After being claimed by the Montreal Canadiens from the Toronto Maple Leafs on Oct. 11, he had one assist in four games with the Montreal Canadiens. He was claimed off waivers by the Vegas Golden Knights from Montreal on Nov. 17. He posted two goals in seven games with Vegas before being claimed by the Maple Leafs on Feb. 16. He also had three assists in five games with Vegas' AHL affiliate Henderson Silver Knights.

Brooks, who is from Winnipeg, played four seasons in the Toronto Maple Leafs system from 2017-2021. He had 92 points (42G, 50A) in 164 games in the AHL with the Toronto Marlies and won a Calder Cup championship with the Marlies in 2018. He also had eight points (4G, 4A) in 18 games with the Maple Leafs from 2019-2021. Brooks appeared in two playoff games for the Maple Leafs last season.
Brooks was drafted by Toronto in the fourth round (92nd overall) in 2016. He had a decorated WHL career with the Regina Pats, where he posted 335 points in 317 games and led the WHL in scoring in 2015-16 with 120 points (38G, 82A).
