Jonsson-Fjallby, 24, made his NHL debut and had four points (2G, 2A) and four penalty minutes in 23 games for the Capitals last season. The Stockholm, Sweden native also skated in 44 games for the AHL's Hershey Bears in 2021-22 and recorded 34 points (16G, 18A) and eight PIMs. Jonsson-Fjallby, Washington's fifth round pick (147th overall) in the 2016 NHL Draft, began his North American professional career for Hershey in 2018-19 and has 75 points (40G, 35A) and 28 PIMs in 152 games for the Bears.
Jonsson-Fjallby has appeared for Sweden on several occasions, including the 2018 World Junior Championships where he had four points (2G, 2A) and two PIMs in seven games to help win the silver medal.
