On Friday, the 2014 first-round pick assisted on both of the Jets goals in a 5-2 setback to the Washington Capitals. Ehlers scored and added a trio of assists on Sunday in a 4-2 win over the St. Louis Blues. It was his fourth career four-point game and fifth three-assist effort. The Aalborg, Denmark native's seven points tied for the most in the NHL this week and his five assists were tied for second.
On the season, Ehlers ranks third on the Jets in points (24) and goals (12), while his 121 shots are tied for the third most in the NHL behind just Alex Ovechkin (145) and teammate Kyle Connor (126).
This is the first time this season and the third time in his career that Ehlers has been selected in the NHL's Three Stars of the Week (last time was Third Star on Mar. 14/21). He is the second Jets player to be selected in 2021-22 after Kyle Connor's First Star on Oct. 25.
