Winnipeg, MB - The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club, in conjunction with its AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, announced today they have recalled defenceman Nelson Nogier from the Moose on an emergency basis.

Nogier, 20, has 13 points (2g, 11a) in 57 games as a rookie with the Moose this season. He played four-plus seasons in the WHL with the Saskatoon Blades and Red Deer Rebels from 2011-2017, tallying 50 points (8g, 42a) in 235 career games. The WHL's Scholastic Player of the Year in 2014, Nogier played in the 2013 Memorial Cup with Saskatoon and 2016 Memorial Cup with Red Deer. He also suited up for Team West at the 2013 U-17 World Hockey Challenge and played in the 2012 Telus Cup, Canada's national midget championship, as a member of the Saskatoon Contacts.
A native of Saskatoon, Sask., Nogier was drafted by the Jets in the fourth round (101st overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.
