WINNIPEG, July 27, 2021 - The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have agreed to terms with goaltender Eric Comrie on a one-year contract with an average annual value of $750,000.

Comrie, 26, won his only NHL start for the New Jersey Devils in 2020-21. He also played four games for the Manitoba Moose and went 3-0-1 with a shutout, a 1.23 goals-against average and a .947 save percentage. Those three wins included a 13-save shutout on April 24 where Comrie set Manitoba's franchise record for goalie wins (85) eclipsing Cory Schneider.
Comrie has played nine NHL games over five seasons with Winnipeg, the Detroit Red Wings, and New Jersey and he has a 3-5-0 record. He has also played in 207 AHL games for the St. John's IceCaps, Manitoba, and the Tucson Roadrunners and has gone 90-92-21 with 10 shutouts, a 2.82 GAA and a .911 SV%. Internationally, Comrie has represented Canada at the 2015 World Junior Hockey Championships where he went 2-0-0 with a shutout, a 1.50 GAA, and a .933 SV% and he was also on the roster for Canada at the 2017 World Championships, but did not play in a tournament game.
