WINNIPEG, April 11, 2022 -The Winnipeg Jets announced they have agreed to terms with draft-pick forwards Henri Nikkanen and Daniel Torgersson. Both players signed three-year, entry-level contracts with an average annual value in the NHL of $925,000. Their three-year deals will begin next season.
Nikkanen and Torgersson have signed professional tryout contracts with the Manitoba Moose and will join the Moose for the remainder of the season.

Nikkanen was drafted by the Jets in the fourth round (113th overall) in the 2019 NHL Draft. The 20-year-old native of Mikkeli, Finland has played 60 games for the Lahden Pelicans in Liiga this season and has 12 points (7G, 5A) and eight penalty minutes. Nikkanen also competed with fellow Finn Ville Heinola at the 2021 World Junior Championship, where they finished fourth.
Torgersson was drafted by the Jets in the second round (40th overall) in the 2020 NHL Draft. The 20-year-old native of Hono, Sweden has played 40 games for Sweden's AIK this season and has 17 points (7G, 10A) and 14 PIMs. Torgersson played a pair of games at the 2022 World Junior Championship before the tournament was postponed.
