WINNIPEG -Despite Bryan Little's best efforts, the forward won't be returning to the Winnipeg Jets line-up this season.
Little - out since November 5 when he took a slapshot to the head - has had a number of tests over the last week. While there has been some improvement, the amount of time needed for the injury to heal will extend past game 82 of the regular season.
The 32-year-old will also have a procedure to repair the perforated ear drum, which has a recovery time of three months.
Maurice says Little will miss the rest of the season
"The smart thing for Bryan the person...and the Winnipeg Jets is not to have him play this year."
