Ehlers, 25, started the week with two assists in Winnipeg's 4-3 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday. On Thursday, the 2014 first round pick contributed on all three Jets goals (two goals and an assist) in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Leafs. Ehlers capped the week with a power play goal in Saturday's 5-2 win over Toronto to help Winnipeg take five out of six points on the road against the Scotia North Division-leading Maple Leafs. The Danish forward's six points (3G, 3A) and two points-per-game were both third-most in the NHL this week and vaulted the Jets into a tie for first in the Scotia North Division in points percentage.
On the season, Ehlers leads the Jets and is tied for sixth in the NHL with 14 goals and his 29 points place him second on the Jets and in a tie for 13th in the league. The 6' 0" winger also leads the Jets with three game winning goals and a +10 rating.
This is the first time this season and the second time in his career that Ehlers has been selected in the NHL's Three Stars of the Week (also First Star on October 16, 2018). He is the first Jets player to be selected in 2020-21 after Winnipeg had three appearances in the Three Stars of the Week last season.
