With the Winnipeg Jets releasing their game packs for the 2023-24 season, there are multiple options in each tier for fans to choose from. If I was fortunate to be able to get my hands on the eight pack of games, here are the ones I would choose and why.

Tier1

Tier 1 (1 game)

February 10, 2024, vs. Pittsburgh

This tier is loaded with great options from the Original Six; Connor Bedard and Chicago, Montreal, Boston and it's always fun when the Maple Leafs come to town for their one and only visit. That being said, I can't turn away from the Penguins visit as my choice. With former Leafs GM Kyle Dubas taking over in Pittsburgh, he made a huge splash bringing in the 2023 Norris Trophy winner Erik Karlsson in a three-team trade earlier this summer. The Pens missed the playoffs last year but Crosby, Malkin, Letang and Karlsson has the star power you need in February.

Tier 2 (3 games)

October 14, 2023, vs. Florida

With the changes that were made during the off-season, Jets fans will be excited and eager to see how it all looks at the Home Opener. Gabriel Vilardi, Rasmus Kupari and Alex Iafallo make their home debuts against old friend Paul Maurice and the Eastern Conference champion Florida Panthers. Florida is a physical team so there will be lots of hits and entertainment on the first regular season game at Canada Life Centre.

October 19, 2023, vs. Vegas

The defending Stanley Cup Champion Golden Knights come to the Manitoba capital. Two playoff meetings in six years have the makings of a rivalry and you have to be looking at how the Jets will come out against the team that knocked them out of the postseason last April.

March 26, 2024, vs. Edmonton

The fact that the playoff drive will be in full swing in late March is why I chose the second of two meetings between the Oilers and Jets. Think back to the last time these teams met at Canada Life Centre on March 4, 2023, a 7-5 Jets win that had us all thinking about the 1980's Smythe Division clashes. These two never disappoint and I don't expect they will this time either.

Tier 3 (4 games)

October 30, 2023, vs. New York Rangers

If you were creating a Mount Rushmore for the Winnipeg Jets, Blake Wheeler has to be one of the faces you would chisel into the rock. The Jets all-time leading scorer makes his return to Winnipeg with the Rangers, the team he signed with after he was bought out of the final year of his contract earlier in the summer. The best opportunity for the fans here to show their appreciation for the longest serving captain in Jets 2.0 history.

January 11, 2024, vs. Chicago

I may have missed out on the first visit from the 2023 NHL Drafts first overall pick, I won't miss out on Connor Bedard a second time. Winnipeg has owned Chicago recently during the regular season including going 4-0 against the Blackhawks during the 2022-23 campaign.

February 20, 2024, vs. Minnesota

The Wild and Jets will be either be fighting for one of the top three spots in the Central Division or one of the two wild card spots in the Western Conference. This game will have big implications on those playoff races and its never boring when these two rivals step on the ice together.

March 5, 2024, vs. Seattle

This will be the first home game after the NHL Trade Deadline when the Kraken make the first of two visits. What will the team look like for the final month and a half of the regular season?
