COMRIE'S NET
After Connor Hellebuyck started the last six games, Eric Comrie returns to the net for the Jets tonight. Comrie has earned the opportunity with the way he played in his last start against the St. Louis Blues, a 28-save performance to push his record to 4-2-1 on the season on January 29th. Comrie has career highs in wins, goals against average (2.34) and save percentage (.920) during the 2021-22 season.

WHEELER AND SCHEIFELE
The Jets duo have really been on fire coming out of the All-Star break. Mark Scheifele has goals in five straight games including his fifth career hat trick that he put up against the Wild on Wednesday night. Scheifele has seven goals and four assists over the five games. Wheeler has an assist on five of the seven goals that his line mate has scored during the streak. The Jets captain has moved into the team lead for assists with 26 despite the fact he has missed 14 games this season.
NEED A WIN STREAK
Winnipeg's win Wednesday pushed them to 3-1-1 since the All-Star break and they are now just five points out of the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference. The Jets have not won back-to-back games since they put together three straight victories in early January. After what happened Monday night against Chicago, you get the sense the Jets learned a valuable lesson. They will need to get to their game early like they did in Seattle the last time they faced the Kraken on December 9. Dominic Toninato scored at the 5:24 mark of the opening period and Winnipeg locked it down from there in the 3-0 win.
HOME COMFORTS
Winnipeg is 12-9-1 at home this season. The Jets have outscored their opposition 71-60 in the 22 games and seven of the 12 wins have come by three goals or more including last night's 6-3 win over Minnesota. Winnipeg is 27.8% (10-for-36) on the power play in their past 11 home games. The Jets went 13-13-2 at home last season but started the campaign 10-5-1.
APPLETON RETURNS
Another former Jet will roll into the building tonight when the Kraken visit the Jets with Mason Appleton steps onto the ice. Appleton was drafted by Winnipeg in the sixth round of the 2015 NHL Draft and finished with 43 points (20G - 23A) in 138 regular season games before being taken by Seattle in the expansion draft. This will be Appleton's second meeting against the Jets after he faced them as a member of the Kraken back in December.
