JUST ANOTHER GAME
Paul Maurice makes his return to the Manitoba capital as the Panthers close out their five-game road trip against the Jets. Maurice left in December of 2021 saying the Jets needed a new voice. Winnipeg has that new voice in Rick Bowness who has the Jets a couple points out of first in the Central. When asked about the return of his teams former coach, Bowness said it's all just noise. The team should be more concerned about getting the two points and closing out the home stand 3-1.

PANTHERS WOUNDED
Florida comes into tonight's game without Anthony Duclair, Aleksander Barkov, Anton Lundell and Patric Hornqvist but have recorded two very impressive 5-1 wins in Vancouver and Seattle to put their record at 2-1-1 on this road trip.
"When they have the puck, it's an offensive minded team that gets the puck and goes," said Rick Bowness following the Jets morning skate.
"Their D aren't always looking to make plays and their wingers aren't looking for it, they are just going. They (the Panthers defence) are looking to just flip it out and they hope to win some foot races. They have a lot of speed; they have a lot of skill and it's going to be a fast-paced game out there."
DUBOIS LINE
Pierre-Luc Dubois and Kyle Connor have always played well together but Bowness has been looking for the right piece to round out the line. Tonight, the right side will be taken by Mikey Eyssimont who has been one of the teams most consistent players since being called up from the Manitoba Moose. Eyssimont isn't afraid to put pucks at the net, he provides energy and fit in well during his short time with Dubois and Connor Sunday afternoon against the Ducks.
