STATEMENT GAME
The Jets have done an admirable job following losses up with wins this season. Now, with Vegas in town it matches up the Central Division leading Jets against the Pacific leading Golden Knights at Canada Life Centre this evening. As great as the matchup looks on paper, Rick Bowness is focusing on something else besides a battle of first place teams.
"I'm more interested to see how we respond from the Washington game (5-2 loss), regardless of who we play tonight," said Rick Bowness after the morning skate.
"I want to see us respond, win or lose. The fact that it's Vegas and we're both fighting for first in our divisions and for first in the conference, yeah, that makes the game a lot of fun."

STENLUND IN
The fourth line was on the ice for two goals against on Sunday, so Bowness is going with a different look tonight. Kevin Stenlund will make his Jets debut, centering the fourth line along with David Gustafsson and Sam Gagner. Stenlund has 14 points in 19 games with the Manitoba Moose of the AHL and has been solid at both ends of the ice. He is also a former teammate of Pierre-Luc Dubois from their days with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Axel Jonsson-Fjallby will come out of the lineup.
SHOUT OUT FOR MORRISSEY
Josh Morrissey tied a career high with his 26th assist of the season on Sunday against the Capitals. The Jets defenceman leads the team in scoring with 31 points in 27 games and it looks like he will have a shot at breaking Dustin Byfuglien's franchise record for points by a defencemen, which is 56 and he did that during the 2013-14 season. There are three defencemen who have reached the 50-point mark in franchise history, Byfuglien (4x), Toby Enstrom (2x) and Jacob Trouba.
