LINE JUGGLING
The Jets have gone eight straight games scoring three goals or less and have been shut out twice over that stretch. In an effort to try and get some more offence, Rick Bowness has flipped a couple of his wingers. Nikolaj Ehlers will skate beside Adam Lowry and Mason Appleton and Vladislav Namestnikov joins Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler. Namestnikov who has played with Wheeler before said he felt the trio were moving the puck well in practice Monday afternoon in Los Angeles and hoped it would translate to the game. As for Ehlers, he knows what to expect from Lowry and Appleton.
"They don't have off nights. They play the same way every single game and they're fun to play with," said Ehlers following the optional skate this morning in San Jose.
"Lows both ways is really good and Appy's got a lot of speed."

BETTER FACE-OFFS
The Jets had turned the corner in the face-off department after their shutout loss to the Boston Bruins going no lower than 47% in the dot in the four games. No surprise, Winnipeg won three of those four contests. Saturday afternoon, Winnipeg only won 33% of their draws in the 4-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings and two lost face-offs led directly to goals by the home team. Now San Jose doesn't have Anze Kopitar or Phillip Danault, but it will be important for the Jets to get back to their face-off winning ways against the Sharks.
TWO NORRIS CANDIDATES
For the second time this season, two top Norris candidates in the Jets Josh Morrissey and the Sharks Erik Karlsson will face one another. Morrissey continues to play the important minutes against the other team's best players, quarterback the power play and remains second on the team in scoring with 69 points. Like Morrissey, Karlsson is rewriting his team's record book as with his pair of assists on Saturday (March 25) against Calgary, his 67th and 68th of the year, Karlsson now also owns the team's record for single-season assists by a defenseman, surpassing Brent Burns for most assists by a Sharks blue-liner in a single campaign and recently passed Burn for most points as well.
