TEPPO AND TEEMU
The pandemic delayed things by a couple of years but it will be worth the wait as Teppo Numminen and Teemu Selanne join the Winnipeg Jets Hall of Fame tonight before the Jets take on the Anaheim Ducks. Jets head coach Rick Bowness described Numminen as a "low maintenance" player both on and off the ice. As for his performance on the ice, Numminen was a player that you knew what to expect whenever he was out there and never got rattled. Selanne continues to hold the NHL records for most goals and points by a rookie and even though his stay in Winnipeg was just under four seasons, the mark he left here is undeniable. Both players admitted that the ceremony this evening will be emotional. Get the tissues ready.

NO APPLETON
Mason Appleton was injured in a freak situation during the Jets overtime win in Seattle and he will be out of the lineup for 8-12 weeks. A massive loss for the Jets because Appleton plays a lot of key minutes for the club on the top line and the penalty kill unit. The teams depth at forward is being challenged with Nikolaj Ehlers, Morgan Barron and now Appleton out. Sam Gagner will move up to the right side with Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor. Mikey Eyssimont will get his second game of the season and will play with Axel Jonsson-Fjallby and Adam Lowry. Keep an eye on warm-ups because Bowness said there are a couple of game time decisions.
MR. 300
Blake Wheeler scored his 300th career goal in dramatic fashion on Sunday, as he matched the latest game-tying goal by a Jet since the franchise relocated to Winnipeg. Wheeler scored at 19:54 of the third period in Seattle, matching Bryan Little's marker that he recorded on November 18, 2013. Wheeler is the third member of the 2004 draft class to reach 300 goals joining Alex Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin.
