Word is getting out that Camp Manitou is a great facility to host a variety of events such as field trips, school camps, family reunions, team wind-ups and birthday parties to name a few. Students, campers, teachers, rental groups and parents have shown appreciation for the significant investment being made to upgrade the facilities at Camp Manitou.

Construction is well underway on 12 new cabins on the north side of the property. Each cabin will sleep 10 campers and 2 leaders, which will greatly expand the overnight capacity. The expected date of completion is June 15, 2017.
A washroom/shower building is being constructed adjacent to the outdoor rink and is also slated for completion at the end of May. This facility will provide convenient access for the campers and rental groups staying in our new cabins. This building will also include two dressing rooms at the south end for teams/groups that are using the rink in the winter months.
A Zamboni garage is also being built and this will allow the rink to be flooded during the 2017-2018 winter season. For the upcoming summer the rink will be used for lacrosse, tennis, ball hockey and other activities as it has been in the past.
Summer camp registration is continuing to gain momentum. Last summer, over 8,700 campers enjoyed adventure experiences at Camp Manitou from May to August. This year, over 11,000 campers are expected and that number is increasing every day. As part of the summer camp experience in 2017, an overnight option is being offered for individual campers.
It is a time of excitement, change and growth at Camp Manitou. Make sure to like Camp Manitou on Facebook to stay up to date on the latest camp information!
