Troy Pilon couldn't stop smiling when talking about his daughter, Jade, who is going into grade six this school year.
She was one of the over 600 kids enrolled in the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy last year, and her experiences in the program have helped bring her and Troy closer together.
"She never used to watch hockey games with me. She would always bug me to change the channel, she didn't want anything to do with it," Pilon said. "Now that she's been a part of it, the whole family gets together and we'll sit down and watch the Jets game. If I have to leave the living room, Jade will scream what's going on, play-by-play. I don't miss a beat when she's watching the game with me now."
