Fans attending the Jets game on Sat., Jan. 21 against St. Louis can bring non-perishable food donations to drop off at all entrances. Any fans who did not bring an item will have the opportunity to purchase a pre-bundled food package from Save-On-Foods for $5, available at two locations on the concourse.
Starting immediately, all three Winnipeg Save-On-Foods locations (Northgate, St. James, and Bridgwater), will act as drop off locations where donations of non-perishable food items for the Winnipeg Jets Food Drive can be made. Each location will also have pre-bundled food packages available to purchase for $5. Donations can be dropped off at all three locations starting today until Jan. 20.
Donations can also be made at the Winnipeg Jets home games taking place on Jan. 9, Jan 11, and Jan 18.
The Winnipeg Jets are proud to partner with Save-On-Foods in this initiative and all donations made at their locations, or at the games leading up to and including Jan. 21 will be given to the Winnipeg Harvest, a non-profit, community based organization that is a food distribution and training centre. Their goal is to collect and share surplus food with people in need.
