The Winnipeg Jets are diving into the digital world with the release of their inaugural NFTs. Whether you're digitally well-versed or have yet to learn what an NFT is, this page will give you everything you need to know about NFTs, and more specifically, the Go Jets Go NFTs.
Here's some basic info on NFTs to get you started:
What is an NFT?
NFT is short for non-fungible token. Each NFT is a unique digital piece of content linked to the blockchain - a distributed database that stores information electronically in digital format. The data stored on the blockchain for each NFT is both proof of ownership and means that each NFT is not interchangeable. The data associated with each NFT is what separates it from a screenshot someone may have of the same NFT and is what makes the NFT valuable. The concept compares to having a Dale Hawerchuk rookie card versus a photo of one or having a poster of the Mona Lisa versus the original painting - the original or true versions of artwork or collectibles hold value while copies do not.

What do NFTs look like?
NFTs can be any type of digital content, such as drawings, music, videos, or three-dimensional assets. There are few limits on what form an NFT can take.
Though NFTs can take the form of any digital content, the Go Jets Go NFTs focus on the digital artwork stream of NFTs.
Here's the full details on what the Go Jets Go NFTs are and how to get them.
What do the Go Jets Go NFTs look like?
The Jets NFTs will include three different themed sets. Two of the sets will feature unique artwork, including a mascot set and an inaugural game ticket set. The third themed set will feature three-dimensional digital game pucks from significant Jets games that will hold box-score data from those respective games.
How many Go Jets Go NFTS are there?
The two artwork-based sets will each consist of three different NFTs, while the 3-D digital puck set will include six NFTs. So, there will be 12 different NFTs to collect, including common, limited, and rare NFTs in each set.
What games will be featured in the digital puck set?
The following historic Jets games will be featured in the 3-D digital puck set:
What makes some NFTs common, some limited, and some rare?
The rarity of each NFT is based on the number that will be "minted", or added to the blockchain. Common NFTs will have more minted versions of that NFT, while rare NFTs will have the fewest minted NFTs. As with other collectibles, the rarer something is, the more valuable it is.
How and where are the Go Jets Go NFTs being sold?
Jets NFTs are sold in packs of four, similar to hockey cards. Each pack will include three NFTs from the artwork-based sets and one from the puck set. Packs will be available in "Base" packs that will include more of the common NFTs and "Rare" packs that will include more of the limited and rare NFTs. Base packs will sell for $35 CAD and Rare packs will be sold for $75 CAD through standard payment options exclusively at
