The Kings first ever trip to Seattle was a success as the team came away from the brand new Climate Pledge Arena with a 3-1 win over the Kraken. The Kings leading goalscorer Adrian Kempe had the game's first tally in the first period, scoring his career high 17th goal of the season off of a rebound from an Alex Iafallo wrist shot. Phillip Danault doubled the Kings lead with another rebound goal, giving the center three goals in the last four games. After surrendering a power-play goal for the Kraken, the Kings shut things down and added an empty net goal again from Danault, seeling the victory.
Cal Petersen continued his hot play in net stopping 17 of 18 shots. Since returning to the Kings net on January 8th, the southpaw has stopped 60 of the 62 shots he has faced, going 3-0-0 in those games.
