Concluding the five-game road trip was a 4-3 loss in the nation's capital. The Kings held a 2-0 lead going into the final period, but were unable to hold the lead, capping the week at 2-2-0 and the road trio at 3-2-0.

- Trevor Moore led the week in scoring with four points (0-4-4) in four games, while Phillip Danault led the team in goals with three. - Alex Iafallo has been placed on Long-Term Injured Reserve (LTIR) with a lower-body injury. Iafallo was originally placed on injured reserve on Oct. 18 after suffering a lower-body injury in the third period against Detroit on Oct. 17. With an assist on Gabriel Vilardi's first-period goal in Detroit, the 6-0 forward had extended his season-opening point streak (2-3=5) to four games, one of five players in the NHL at the time to hold such an active point streak through the first four games of the 2022-23 NHL season. The assist also marked his 100th career assist, making him the 15th undrafted active skater in the NHL to reach the mark. - The Kings rank 29th in the NHL with a 4.43 GAA. - The Kings power play went 2-for-19 in the four games and ranks 22nd in the NHL (15.2%).

The Week That Is

The Kings return home for three games at Crypto.com Arena this week, their third, fourth and fifth home games of the season. The Kings will host the defending Eastern Conference champion Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday, the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday and the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday.
After having dropped the first two home games of the season, the Kings will look to rebound and notch their first home points of the season. In the 2021-22 season, the Kings went a combined 3-3-1 against the three teams they will face this week.
