The Kings upcoming week will consist of three more home games, two of which will be on ESPN+/Hulu. All three games this week will be rematches from earlier in the season as the Kings will return the favor as the home team this time around. Having gone up against the Minnesota Wild, Chicago Blackhawks and the Detroit Red Wings already this season, the Kings hold a combined 2-0-1 record versus the three teams with all of those games being one-goal games.
The week begins Tuesday night with another early season clash against Kevin Fiala's former team the Minnesota Wild. The Kings defeated the Wild in Minnesota on October 15th in an eventful 7-6 regulation win. The night was highlighted by Fiala's return to Minnesota for the first time since being traded from the Wild to the Kings this past offseason. As for the game itself, the Kings jumped out to a 3-0 first period lead and would go on to put up a touchdown in the game. The victory resulted in the first points of the season for the Kings. The Wild enter Tuesday's tilt at Crypto.com Arena having earned points in six of their last eight games but could be without four of the forwards.
Two nights later, the Kings are set to host another Central Division opponent, the Chicago Blackhawks. The Kings played the Blackhawks just two games ago in Chicago where they fell in overtime 2-1. Now 14 games into the regular season, six of those games have come against Central Division opponents. In those six games, the Kings hold a record of 3-2-1. After Thursday, the Kings do not play a Central Division team until December 1st when they host the Arizona Coyotes.
The Kings will conclude a four-game home stand on Saturday night against the Eastern Conference Detroit Red Wings. Through 12 games this season, the Red Wings have been led by the former 2013 Kings draft pick Dominik Kubalik. Kubalik currently leads his team in goals (6) and is tied for the team lead in points (15). Being that the Red Wings are in the Eastern Conference, this will be the team's last meeting this season.
