Jonathan Huberdeau, LW-- The left wing was tied for second in the NHL in points last season (115) and led the League in assists (85) before being acquired by the Calgary Flames from the Florida Panthers on July 22. Huberdeau, who ranks fourth in the NHL in points since 2018-19 (346 in 286 games) and third in power-play points (125), remains a top 15 overall fantasy player and top three left wing option after the trade with exposure to a valuable center in either Elias Lindholm or Nazem Kadri (signed seven-year contract with Flames) at even strength and on the power play

Jacob Markstrom, G-- Markstrom was one of five goalies last season to play at least 60 games (others: Juuse Saros, Connor Hellebuyck, Thatcher Demko, Andrei Vasilevskiy) and had the best save percentage (.922) on that list. Markstrom also led the NHL in shutouts (nine) and had his highest win total (37) and best save percentage in a full season. Especially with Calgary's addition of valuable defenseman MacKenzie Weegar, Markstrom remains among the 10 best goalie options for this season.

Elias Lindholm, C -- The center was one of 13 players in the NHL with at least 40 goals (42) and 40 assists last season, reaching career highs in each category, and points (82 in 82 games). Despite the offseason departures of Lindholm's elite linemates Johnny Gaudreau (signed with Columbus Blue Jackets) and Matthew Tkachuk (traded to Panthers), Lindholm is likely to be a fixture with Huberdeau on the top line and him and Kadri on the first power play and should be considered a fringe top 50 overall fantasy player and top 20 center.

Nazem Kadri, C -- He was tied for 16th in the NHL in points per game (1.23) last season, ranked third in points (career-high 87 in 71 games) on the Colorado Avalanche and had their third-most power-play points (29). Kadri also thrived during the Avalanche's Stanley Cup run (15 points in 16 games) and provides strong hits coverage (1.3 per game in NHL career), and should still be considered a fringe top 50 overall fantasy player after signing in Calgary, where he'll have a top-six role and first power-play exposure to Huberdeau, Lindholm and Weegar.

MacKenzie Weegar, D -- He's tied for fifth among NHL defensemen in even-strength points (70) over the past two seasons combined and ranks third in the League in plus/minus (plus-69) over that span. Weegar had an NHL career high in points (44; tied for 26th in League at position) last season and was tied for 11th among defensemen in shots on goal (203). Weegar can take another step forward with a full-time first power-play role in Calgary this season and should be considered a fringe top 15 defenseman and the second highest-ranked fantasy player at the position to change teams this offseason behind Brent Burns of the Carolina Hurricanes.

Tyler Toffoli, LW/RW -- The Flames wing could have his highest ceiling yet with the opportunity to play on either the top line with Huberdeau and Lindholm or second line with Kadri in addition to the first power-play role he held last season. Toffoli, who had his best point total with the Los Angeles Kings in 2015-16 (58) and highest points-per-game average (0.85; 44 in 52 games) with the Montreal Canadiens in 2020-21, should be considered a fantasy sleeper candidate and one of the teammates most impacted by his team's offseason moves.
