Joined by the likes of Serena Williams, Billie Jean King, Simone Biles, Megan Rapinoe and fellow NWHL superstar Hillary Knight, Blake Bolden has been named as one of the most powerful women in sports.

Described as "Unrelenting" by SI staff, Bolden, along with the other women named to the list, have changed the game in their sports by "speaking out, setting the bar and making a difference."
Bolden became the first black woman to be hired as a Amateur Scout when she started with the LA Kings in January 2020.

Following her standout college career at Boston College, Bolden also became the first Black woman to play professional hockey when she debuted in the NWHL during the 2015-2017 season.
Three NWHL All-Star appearances and a 2019 Defensive Player of the Year award later, Bolden is dedicating her time to helping young women of color get involved with hockey.

Sports Illustrated's list touches on sports and roles from every corner of the industry.
"From athletes and activists, to executives, coaches and more, the group of honorees is diverse and spans a variety of sports and fields, but all of the women share a common thread: They're all changing the game."
