Kings Acquire Defenseman Nelson Nogier From Winnipeg Jets

The LA Kings have acquired defenseman Nelson Nogier from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for defenseman Markus Phillips. Nogier has been assigned to the Ontario Reign (AHL).
Nogier, 25, has registered six points (3-3=6) in 25 games with the Manitoba Moose (AHL) this season. The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native has played 242 AHL game over six years, all with Manitoba, and registered 41 points (8-33=41).

Selected in the fourth-round (101st overall) by the Jets in the 2014 NHL Draft, the 6-2 190-pound defenseman has appeared in 11 NHL games with Winnipeg going scoreless.
Phillips has appeared in 38 games with Ontario this season, posting five points (1-4=5).
