Strander Recall

The LA Kings announced today that the team has recalled defenseman Austin Strand from the Ontario Reign.
Strand, who scored the game-winning goal last night for Ontario, will join the team in St. Louis.

Strand, 24, joins the Kings in St. Louis after registering two points (1-1=2) in four games with the Reign. Last season, the 6-3, 216-pound blueliner made his NHL debut with the Kings on Feb. 5 in Las Vegas and registered one assist (0-1=1) and a plus-2 rating in 13 regular-season appearances.
In 107 AHL games with Ontario, the Calgary, Alberta native has tallied 40 points (17-23=40). He also appeared in nine ECHL games with the Manchester Monarchs back in 2018 after winning a WHL championship with the Seattle Thunderbirds in 2017.
The Kings close out their road trip with back-to-back games against the St. Louis Blues tonight, Oct. 23, and Monday, Oct. 25. Puck drop for both games is set for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on Bally Sports Network and the LA Kings Audio Network on iHeartRadio.
