The LA Kings will conduct a pregame ceremony tomorrow to recognize defenseman and alternate captain Drew Doughty for playing in his 1,000th regular-season game. The pregame ceremony at Crypto.com Arena will be broadcast live on Bally Sports West ahead of the 7:30 p.m. game against the Edmonton Oilers.
Fans attending the game are encouraged to arrive early and be in their seats for the on-ice ceremony. The first 10,000 fans in attendance will get a Drew Doughty facemask and all fans will receive a commemorative poster upon exit.

Doughty became the 359th player in NHL history to reach the league-recognized milestone on Jan. 27 in a 3-2 win over the New York Islanders. Now in his 14th NHL season, all with the Kings, Doughty has 560 career points (130-430=557) in 1,003 career regular-season games. Among franchise defensemen, Doughty leads in games played, assists and points. Overall, he ranks seventh in assists and ninth in points.

Internationally, he has won two Gold Medals with Team Canada (2010, 2014), won an IIHF World Junior Championship Gold Medal (2008) and a World Cup of Hockey Gold Medal (2016).
Tomorrow is the first game for the Kings since the NHL All-Star Break, following a successful six-game road trip in which the team went 4-0-2 and earned 10 out of 12 points. It was originally scheduled to be played on Dec. 22 and is one of three dates that have been rescheduled by the NHL, including makeup games on Feb. 18 at the Vegas Golden Knights and Feb. 19 at the Arizona Coyotes.
