This is the first time the Kings have played at home since December 10 - the last nine Kings games have been on the road. The Kings played 10 straight away from home during the 2010-11 season and the club had a nine-game trip in 1969-70.
This is also just the third time in franchise history - the Kings are currently celebrating their 50th Anniversary - the Kings are hosting a New Year's Eve game (2011 and 1991).
The brief one-game homestand (the Kings open a seven-game homestand in early January) will be broadcast on FOX Sports West and KABC Radio 790 with coverage starting at 7 p.m.For ticket information visit

REMINDER:
Earlier this month the National Hockey League (NHL) and Kings introduced a rendering of the NHL® Centennial-themed float that will make its debut in the renowned 128th Rose Parade in Pasadena on January 2. Titled "A Century of Greatness (1917-2017)," the float will serve as one of the key elements celebrating the official launch of the NHL's year-long Centennial festivities, which will commence on New Year's Day.
The NHL and the Kings - who will play host to the 2017 NHL All-Star Weekend at STAPLES Center as a highlight of the organization's 50th anniversary celebration - will be aboard the NHL Centennial float in the Monday parade with Luc Robitaille, Bob Miller and team mascot Bailey. The trio will be flanked by youth hockey players, including members of the Jr. Kings program, wearing jerseys for all 30 NHL clubs.
