The LA Kings announced today its 22-player roster for opening night, which features 13 forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders.

Forwards (13):
Michael Amadio, Andreas Athanasiou, Dustin Brown, Jeff Carter, Carl Grundstrom, Alex Iafallo, Adrian Kempe, Anze Kopitar, Blake Lizotte, Matt Luff, Trevor Moore, Gabriel Vilardi, Austin Wagner

Defense (7):
Mark Alt, Mikey Anderson, Tobias Bjornfot, Kale Clague, Drew Doughty, Olli Maatta, Matt Roy

Goaltenders (2):
Troy Grosenick, Jonathan Quick
In addition, forwards Lias Andersson and Jaret Anderson-Dolan, defenseman Austin Strand and goaltender Matt Villalta have been named to the taxi squad.
Full LA Kings 2020-21 Roster
As part of today's roster moves, the Kings assigned forwards Quinton Byfield and Arthur Kaliyev to the Ontario Reign (AHL). In addition, Martin Frk (forward), Kurtis MacDermid (defenseman), Cal Petersen (goaltender), Alex Turcotte (forward) and Sean Walker (defenseman) have been designated as injured/non-roster.
Additionally, three players have changed uniform numbers. Defenseman Kale Clague has changed his number from 34 to 58. Forward Carl Grundstrom has changed his number from 38 to 91. He would be the first Kings player to appear in a game wearing that number. Forward Gabriel Vilardi has changed his number from 42 to 13. As announced previously, forward Austin Wagner has changed his number from 51 to 27.
The Kings open the season tomorrow (Thursday) at home against the Minnesota Wild at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on FOX Sports West, the FOX Sports App and the LA Kings Audio Network on iHeartRadio and in Spanish on KWKW 1330 AM TU LIGA.
