LA Kings and TruArtis copy

The LA Kings and Musical sensation TruArtis have collaborated on a new branding initiative to help launch the 2021-22 NHL regular season in Los Angeles.
The LA Kings welcome fans back to full capacity at STAPLES Center for the start of the highly anticipated regular season beginning on Thursday, October 14, versus the Vegas Golden Knights. Game time in downtown Los Angeles is 7:30 p.m. with fans encouraged to arrive to their seats early.

As part of the team's brand marketing campaign and game presentation efforts, the LA Kings have partnered with TruArtis for an original anthemic message entitled "Dear LA City." The mixed media piece will premiere in-arena at STAPLES Center prior to the season opener on October 14 as part of pre-game festivities and will feature a stellar line-up of LA Kings players, die-hard fans and TruArtis. It will continue in-arena as part of the LA Kings game experience at home games through November.

Written by LA Kings Executive Producer Wanton Davis and performed by TruArtis, "Dear LA City" will be released on-line by the team and across all club social media platforms to further reach LA Kings fans everywhere while also drawing new fans to the world-renowned arena for the exciting hockey season.

Said Davis: "We wanted "Dear LA City" to embrace the many things that make LA special, so partnering with an authentic LA voice like TruArtis was essential."

Said Tru: "When the Kings approached me I was excited to work with Wanton, Ashley Lane and the crew. This is an incredible opportunity to create something really special for the fans. It's an honor."

TruArtis is managed by Paul R. Friedman. His latest single "Roll" will be released in October.

The Kings-Golden Knights season opener on October 14 kicks off a two-game homestand that concludes with a game against the Minnesota Wild on October 16. The Kings then embark on their first road trip of the year, a four-game set that begins on October 19 at Nashville.

Thursday's game begins at 7:30 p.m. and fans are encouraged to be their seats early for pre-game Opening Night festivities. The contest will be broadcast on Bally Sports West and the LA Kings Iheart Audio Network with pre-game shows.
