One of Jonny Brodzinski's more hysterical hockey memories involves Star Wars.
It was the famous viral moment of someone dressed as Darth Vader falling on the ice as part of the Manchester Monarch's 14th birthday celebration for Max the Lion.

It's unclear whether the Kings will witness that same type of spontaneous hilarity at
"Star Wars Night" on Saturday against the Carolina Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m.
, but the evening should still be a lot of fun for both players and fans alike.
It's the first Kings Star Wars themed night since March of 2010 when they did "Clone Wars Night."
The game comes in advance of Star Wars: The Last Jediwhich will be released on Dec. 15.
"We'll have over 40 characters in attendance, being in LA we're lucky that so many fan groups are here; and we're stoked on the LA Kings x Star Wars beanie presented by Mammoth Mountain. I think it's our best giveaway of the year," said Kings Senior Director of Marketing and Digital Media Pat Donahue.
The game should also bring out the inner geek in some players who are big fans of the Star Warsfranchise.
"I think it's just the nostalgia of the movies covering so many different generations and age groups that it kind of appeals to everybody," Kings backup goaltender Darcy Kuemper said. "It's kind of something that everyone's excited for. There's fans of all ages, so I think that just makes it appeal to everyone a little bit more."
Kuemper noted that most players are "50-50" in regards to Star Wars movies.
"There seems to be no middle ground. You're either a big fan or it's just not for you," he joked.
But the ones who like "Star Wars" seem to really enjoy the films.
"Growing up we had the original movies. It's not like today where you could watch anything you wanted. So we only had so many movies so we re-watched what we had all the time and Star Wars was one of them," forward Kyle Clifford said.
Though not all players completely agree on Star Wars, it's easy for everyone to appreciate the fun that comes with a Star Wars themed game. Such events are common around sports and always are one of the more enjoyable promotions of the year for any organization.
"I'm not sure what to expect. I'm not sure how big they'll do it. They always do a good job so it will be pretty good to see tomorrow," Kuemper said.
Maybe the game can make new fans out of players who haven't seen any of the movies. The Kings' upcoming four-game road trip falls during the release date of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which would make for a fun outing for the players.
Brodzinski said, "I have never seen any of the movies at all. I've always wanted to but every time I sit down to try to watch all the old ones, because my uncle is really into them, I just take a nap mid-movie. But I always wanted to get into them."
