LA Kings Prospect Akil Thomas Joins the Podcast World

The Kings 2018 second-round draft pick (51) has stepped behind the mic during this hiatus without hockey and joined the podcast world.
The podcast, "Soul On Ice" centers around the hockey world: past, present and future. Hosted by Damon 'Kwame' Mason, Thomas co-hosts the podcast along with his former teammate and fellow OHLer Elijah Roberts.

In their debut episode, the trio cover the impact of COVID-19 on the hockey world and the immediate future of hockey. Plus, Thomas breaks down his golden goal against Russia in the 2020 World Juniors Championship Game for Team Canada.

Thomas spent this past season split between the Niagara Ice Dogs and the Peterborough Petes in the Ontario Hockey League.
In 49 games this season, Thomas scored 24 goals and recorded 60 assists, ranking fifth in the OHL in assists and 11th in points.
