The Kings close out their four-game home stand tomorrow night against the Carolina Hurricanes. But that is not all of the hockey Kings fans should be paying attention to. With high-end prospects spread across the world, the Kings future is bright. Here is your latest LA Kings prospect report.

Kasper Simontaival (KalPa, Liiga)

Drafted 66th overall in the third round of the 2020 NHL draft, Kasper Simontaival has been over in Finland's top professional league, Liiga. Playing for KalPa, Simontaival has been an impactful piece in helping his team to a fourth place hold in the standings. Simontaival has recorded six points (3-3=6) in his last 10 games and has eight points (3-5=8) in 16 games this season.

Kenny Connors (UMASS-Amherst, NCAA)

Kenny Connors continues his noteworthy freshman season, picking up more recognition for his on-ice performance's. After a weekend of games in Belfast, Northern Ireland in the Friendship Four showcase, Connors registered both goals in a 2-1 victory over rival UMASS-Lowell and picked up an assist in a 2-2 tie versus Quinnipiac. In doing so, Connors earned the honors of Hockey East's Rookie of the Week. Connor now leads his team in goals (7) and points (16).

Ben Meehan (UMASS-Lowell, NCAA)

Just over an hour northeast of Connors is Ben Meehan, the Kings fifth-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft. Meehan, now a junior has been a staple on the blue line for UMASS-Lowell. With two assists last weekend, Meehan moved into a tie for the team's lead among defenseman in points (2-6=8). Meehan's impressive 2022-23 campaign has the Walpole, Massachusetts native is on pace for career high's in assists and points.
