The LA Kings made seven total selections in this weekend's NHL Draft hosted by the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
After
selecting forward Rasmus Kupari in the first round
(No. 20 overall) yesterday, the Kings continued the draft on Saturday by adding six more members to the teams' 2018 draft class.
"In the NHL, you certainly need to be fast, you need to be skilled, you need to be competitive and you need hockey sense," said LA Kings Director of Amateur Scouting Mark Yannetti. "We filled a lot of those needs today."
The Kings opened day two of the draft by selecting forward Akil Thomas from the Niagara IceDogs of the OHL in the second round (51st overall).
