The LA Kings are proud to be allies to the LGBTQ+ community. Every year, the Kings are excited to both show support to the fans who bring so much joy to the team and hockey community, and to learn new ways to amplify their voices.
This year, the Kings have updated their Pride logo to include the light blue and pink colors from the Transgender Pride Flag, as well as black and brown colors as a nod to the intersectionality and support between the Black Community and the Pride Community.

The annual LA Kings Pride Night presented by Blue Shield of California was scheduled for March 19th, 2020 when the LA Kings were planning to take on the Boston Bruins. Due to the shutdown of the NHL and the Kings season being cut short, LA Kings Pride Night 2020 has unfortunately been canceled.
However, the dedication the Kings have to the community remains unchanged, and they have a number of initiatives planned during this time.
Proceeds will benefit
You Can Play
, an organization that works to ensure the safety and inclusion for all who participate in sports, and pushes towards inclusive culture and policies whether it be on the field, in the stands, or with athletic brands.

The Kings were thrilled to participate in LA Pride's 2019 Festival and Parade and were looking forward to once again teaming up with AEG and the LA Galaxy to have a float in this year's 50th Anniversary Parade on June 14th, 2020. Although the in-person Parade is postponed until next year due to COVID-19, LA Pride is hosting the city's first ever Virtual Pride Parade as a 90-minute primetime special exclusively on ABC7, on Saturday, June 27th (8-11 pm PDT).

The event will be hosted by ABC7 Eyewitness News anchors Ellen Leyva and Brandi Hitt, with special guest host, actress Raven-Symoné, and correspondent Karl Schmid. The Kings' 2020 Pride Video will be featured as a part of the 90-minute special.
The virtual festival pays tribute to the history of LA Pride and celebrates the Los Angeles area's storied role in the LGBTQ+ civil rights movement through a three-hour live event honoring SoCal Queer culture with musical performances, celebrity appearances, and in-depth interviews with local heroes and community activists.
