LA Kings To Host Special Youth Hockey Camp In Mexico City

The LA Kings will host a special youth hockey camp in Mexico next week.
The Mexico City Jr. Kings Camp will take place February 10-12 and feature close to 80 youth hockey players as Kings alumnus and staffers travel to Mexico City. This is the third time the Kings have led youth hockey efforts in Mexico.
Former Kings Derek Armstrong and Mike Weaver will lead the effort which will feature players ages 6-16. Armstrong and Weaver, natives of Ontario, Canada, were teammates with the LA Kings from 2005-07.
Armstrong and Weaver will be joined by Blake Bolden, Scout and Diversity and Inclusion Specialist with the Kings, and USA Women's National Team goaltender Molly Schaus. The camp will receive additional support from the LA Kings Hockey Development Department, and USA Hockey will have staff members on-site to help train the Mexico City Jr. Kings Coaching staff while the camp takes place.

Participants from the Mexico City Jr. Kings are expected to be in attendance though it is not exclusive to the club.
The three-day camp will culminate with a fun scrimmage on Sunday, February 12, at the Centro Commercial Sante Fe ice rink.

Los LA Kings organizarán clínicas de hockey infantil y juvenil en México la próxima semana.

Las clínicas de los México City Jr. Kings se llevarán a cabo del 10 al 12 de febrero y contarán con la participación de aproximadamente 80 jugadores de hockey infantil y juvenil, mientras que ex jugadores y personal de los Kings viajarán a la Ciudad de México. Esta es la tercera vez que los Kings llegan a México para fomentar el hockey infantil y juvenil.

Los ex Kings Derek Armstrong y Mike Weaver liderarán el evento, que contará con jugadores de 6 a 16 años. Armstrong y Weaver, nativos de Ontario, Canadá, fueron compañeros de equipo con los LA Kings entre 2005 y 2007.

Armstrong y Weaver estarán acompañados por Blake Bolden, Scout y Especialista en Diversidad e Inclusión de los Kings, y la portera de la Selección Nacional Femenil de Estados Unidos, Molly Schaus. Las clínicas tendrán apoyo adicional del Departamento de Desarrollo de los LA Kings, y USA Hockey tendrá personal en locación para capacitar al cuerpo técnico de los Mexico City Jr. Kings durante el fin de semana.

Se espera la asistencia de miembros de los Mexico City Jr. Kings, aunque el evento no es exclusivo para el club.

Las clínicas de tres días culminarán con un divertido partido amistoso el domingo 12 de febrero en la pista de hielo del Centro Comercial Santa Fe.
