It was also the 64th power-play goal of his career, surpassing Wayne Gretzky (63) for ninth-most in franchise history.
Anze Kopitar tallied his 26th assist of the season on the Doughty power-play goal on Wednesday, ranking fifth in the NHL in assists. His 20 power-play points are second in the NHL behind only Connor McDavid (22) and his 34 points this season are seventh (tied). Kopitar now has 13 points (4-9=13) over his last nine games.
After going 1-for-2 on the power play on Wednesday, the Kings power play now ranks 10th in the NHL (25.7).
