Looking back at the 2021-22 season, the Kings improved in many major categories. With a number of players setting career highs in multiple offensive categories, the Kings' offense as a whole also took a big step forward. Over the 82-game season, the Kings scored 232 goals in total, including 40 power-play goals and 11 shorthanded goals, the third most shorthanded goals in the NHL. Averaging out to 2.87 goals per game this season, the Kings topped their totals from their previous three seasons in terms of goals per game (2018-19: 2.43, 2019-20: 2.53, 2020-21: 2.54).

9. Viktor Arvidsson vs. CBJ - March 4, 2022

This overtime game-winning goal against the Columbus Blue Jackets capped off an epic come from behind win for the Kings as Viktor Arvidsson completed his fourth career hat trick on a contested breakaway, beating goalie Elvis Merzlikins on the backhand side.

8. Sean Durzi vs. TOR - November 24, 2021

In his NHL debut and with his family in the stands, Sean Durzi fired home a gorgeous, bar-down goal for his first career NHL goal. With the goal coming against the team that drafted back in 2018, Durzi's immediate impac helped him to go on to play in all 64 remaining games in the regular season, in addition to all seven games in the postseason.

7. Andreas Athanasiou vs. VGK - February 18, 2022

In the midst of a playoff push, Andreas Athanasiou flipped the script of this particular game when he jumpstarted the Kings offense with a takeaway in the defensive zone, leading to a beautiful breakaway goal. Down 2-0 at the time, Athanasiou's goal began the comeback in what ended in a 4-3 overtime win.

6. Phillip Danault vs. CBJ - April 16, 2022

Phillip Danault may have been the beneficiary on the occasion, but as we saw many times this past season with the Trevor Moore-Phillip Danault-Viktor Arvidsson line, their chemistry and puck movement could often turn into poetry in motion. The trio teamed up for this beauty against the Blue Jackets during the playoff push.

5. Adrian Kempe vs. VGK - February 18, 2022

Here's that game again! Speaking of puck movement, Adrian Kempe cashed in on one of his seven game-winning goals this past season with the overtime winner in Vegas, capping the comeback with an emotional victory on the road.

4. Martin Frk vs. FLA - March 13, 2022

In the clutch, Martin Frk who holds the record for the hardest shot in AHL history at 109.2 MPH, unloaded a slap shot, tying the game at two with just 32 seconds remaining in regulation. Frk's goal would prove crucial as the Kings picked up two points, beating the Panthers in a shootout.

3. Adrian Kempe vs. MTL - November 9, 2021

Another one of Kempe's game-winning goals came earlier in the season, North of the border, when the Swede used his speed and skill all by himself to give the Kings the extra point. 2. Viktor Arvidsson vs. PHI - January 29, 2022

In yet another great sequence of impressive puck movement, Phillip Danault, Sean Durzi and Viktor Arvidsson teamed up for an eye-popping goal. Highlighted by the 360° pass from Danault and the gorgeous deke on the goalie by Durzi, Arvidsson put home one of his 20 goals this past season to spark a comeback to earn a point in Philadelphia.

1. Adrian Kempe vs. EDM - May 10, 2022

After making the playoffs for the first time in four seasons, Adrian Kempe sent the Kings back to Los Angeles with a 3-2 series lead against the Edmonton Oilers when the Kings leading goalscorer in the regular season scored the overtime winner 1:12 into overtime of Game 5.
