Training Camp Day 7: Hear from McLellan, Vilardi and Frk

Head Coach Todd McLellan addressed the media the power play strategy and personnel, Martin Frk's role and Gabriel Vilardi's growth over the offseason.

"Gabe looks like a different man right now physically. He looks stronger. I think his engine is much better, we're going to find out in the games. The fact that he did all the work should make him feel comfortable and confident in what he can or can't do on the ice," McLellan said.

After debuting for the Kings late last season, Gabriel Vilardi talked about his first healthy offseason, what he learned from his time in the NHL, his excitement level with his linemates and his conditioning.

Following a season spent in both the NHL and AHL, Martin Frk spoke on his chemistry with Vilardi, what the hard-shooting winger worked on over the offseason and his relationship with relationship with Andreas Athanasiou from their days with the Detroit Red Wings.
"Andreas and I got drafted together in Detroit and came up through the minors together. He's a fast player and had a lot of skill. You want to give him the puck and let him go. He can make our team better and is great guy. It's a great fit for the Kings to add [Athanasiou]," Frk said.
