Seattle Kraken hockey kicks off on Tuesday, October 8 at 1:30pm at Climate Pledge Arena. The Kraken will face-off against the St. Louis Blues for the NHL’s first-ever triple header opening day. To help fans join the mid-day match, the Kraken are encouraging them to play Hooky for Hockey.

Opening Day Festivities

Get to Climate Pledge Arena early and play Hooky for Hockey. The Plaza Party kicks off Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. with blue carpet player arrivals followed by a beer garden pres. by Coors Light at 11 a.m. Stick around the plaza for:

  • A DJ & band
  • The Kraken Team Store trailer
  • Face painting
  • Sign making
  • Photo opportunities with our giant bobbleheads and giant letters

Giant Bobblehead Takeover

From Tacoma up to Northgate, explore the Seattle area and look for giant bobbleheads of Kraken stars Matty Beniers, Jaden Schwartz, Jordan Eberle, Vince Dunn and Jared McCann. Each day the bobbleheads will move to different locations throughout the region so use the bobblehead map below and tap the icon in the upper left of the map to filter by day.

Keep your eyes peeled for giant tentacles appearing in new locations around the region every day. When you spot these standout extremities, Kraken faithful are encouraged to “sound the call” of the Oct. 8 opening day by snapping photos and sharing them on social media!
