The Kraken's July calendar is top heavy with the NHL Draft (Thursday and Friday), Development Camp (July 11 to 15) and NHL Free Agency (begins July 13). After that, the next run of important dates start in later September when Seattle's training camp and preseason games unfold.
The team announced its six preseason dates Tuesday after earlier news about
new Seattle goaltending coach Steve Briere
and the first female assistant coach in the American Hockey League,
Jessica Campbell, joining Kraken affiliate Coachella Valley
.

The Kraken will start with two back-to-back preseason games at Climate Pledge Arena. The Edmonton Oilers, who advanced to the 2022 Western Conference final, will visit Sept. 26. Another division rival, Calgary, will be in town the next night, Sept. 27. Both games will start at 7 p.m.
Seattle next travels up to Vancouver for a Sept. 29 game (6:30 p.m. puck drop) before the Canucks make the trip to Climate Pledge Arena Oct. 1 (6:30 p.m.).
The Kraken will finish the preseason with two games on the road, heading to Calgary for an Oct. 3 matchup with the Flames (6 p.m.) and the sixth and final tuneup Oct. 7 at Edmonton.
Fans attending or tuning into the NHL preseason games will get the opportunity to see the results of summer work by the Kraken hockey operations group, whether it be 2022 draft choices, signed free agents or potential players acquired in a trade. Plus, the Kraken's growing list of prospects will get ice time against NHL competition in the continuing development of those players.
Ticket sales for home games and broadcast information are to be announced.
