##### One: Getting More Intense, Getting to the Net
EDMONTON - After the Oilers and Kraken each achieved lopsided road wins in the season series to date, fans can anticipate a tighter contest Tuesday. Though Seattle coach Dave Hakstol didn't like the outcome in the MLK Day game against Tampa Bay, he was not unhappy about the effort from his squad and is confident the group will be ready for Tuesday's important divisional matchup.
Without prompting from the media, Hakstol and more than a few players have raised the subject of the team's readiness for the season's second half bringing more intensity and physical play as teams battle for playoff spots. To that point, Seattle didn't get much net-front traffic against the Lightning and goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy Monday. They will look to get to that area more frequently and dynamically against the Oilers. The lone Kraken goal against TBL featured a couple of Kraken bodies disrupting Vasilevskiy's sightline on a Vince Dunn shot from inside the blue line.

Bonus facts: Dunn scored his eighth goal of the season and now has points in seven consecutive games for the first time in his NHL career. He has four goals and 12 assists in his last 13 games, while Larsson has notched points in 11 of his last 14 games.
##### Two: 'Sticking' to It
Another thing to watch: While the Kraken are getting lots of attention for their goal-scoring, it's evident the forwards group has bought into the Dave Hakstol mantra of forechecking and disrupting in the defensive zone generates offense. Monday, Jared McCann set a personal high with four takeaways, while rookie Matty Beniers continues to get his stick on opponent's puck carries (including more than once doing so on Tampa star Nikita Kucherov). Daniel Sprong, he of the elite shot, has looked consistently active and effective in all three zones. Ditto for newcomer Eeli Tolvanen.
##### Three: Edmonton "Starting to Slot In"
The Oilers have won their three games, all within the Pacific Division and all with Jack Campbell in net. The most recent win was the most impressive win: A 4-3 road victory at Vegas Saturday night. The Oilers are rested, awaiting the Kraken with a healthy Leon Draisaitl feeling better about his physical condition and scoring touch. He scored four goals in the last three wins, including two versus first-place Vegas.
"I think we're finding our game a little bit," said Draisaitl to Sportsnet. "I think guys individually are starting to slot into where they're most successful. That goes a long way."
