In a one-season arrangement with the Charlotte Checkers as the Kraken's American Hockey League affiliate, forwards Kole Lind and Carsen Twarynski were productive players for a team that won the AHL Atlantic Division title. Lind was Seattle's expansion draft choice from Vancouver last summer and Twarynski was the expansion pick from Philadelphia.
The Kraken announced Friday both forwards have agreed to terms for one-year, two-way contracts with Lind at $850,000 average annual value and Twarynski at $750,000 AAV when appearing in NHL games. Players with two-way contracts earn a different salary for play in the AHL.

Lind, 23, played top-line minutes for Charlotte on a team that was a split squad between Kraken and Florida Panthers developing pros. He contributed 17 goals and 18 assists in 46 games, including seven power-play goals. He plays a physical game that includes sticking up for teammates, greatly appreciated by Charlotte coaches Geordie Kinnear and Dan Bylsma (the latter now head coach of the AHL's 32nd franchise, the Coachella Valley Firebirds).
The 6-foot-1, 172-pound right wing was in the Kraken lineup for 19 games in March and April and 23 games overall for the big club. He scored two goals and added six assists in his NHL appearances. One highlight: Lind scored the opening goal in the first 72 seconds of a thrilling 3-2 home win over Stanley Cup-winning Colorado April 20. He was drafted by Vancouver in the early second round (33rd overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft.
The 24-year-old Twarynski played the full season for Charlotte, which advanced to the third round of the AHL playoffs. He scored five goals and notched 13 assists to add to his AHL totals of 23 goals and 33 assists in 178 games.
The 6-foot-2, 198-pound left wing was a Western Hockey League standout, including his final amateur season in which he scored 45 goals and added 27 assists for 72 points in 68 games for the Kelowna (BC) Rockets. Philadelphia selected him in the third round of the 2016 NHL Draft. Twarynski appeared in 22 games with the Flyers, scoring his first NHL goal in just his third game with the Flyers.
