The Kraken were looking to capitalize against a tired Winnipeg team that lost in Calgary less than 24 hours before puck drop. Martin Jones, in his 400th NHL start did his part with a strong performance. And when both sides skated with five players, the game was there for the taking. But penalty trouble hurt the home team. They had to go on the penalty kill seven times and couldn't capitalize when they got the skater-advantage themselves. Ultimately, the Winnipeg power play scored with three seconds left to force overtime and then found the back of the net to win both standings points that were up for grabs.
