The Kraken knew they had a tough test heading into Colorado but they handled it with a complete 60-minute effort. The defense was stout in limiting offensive generation by the Avalanche; goaltending was solid; the offensive production was there; the power play continued to produce; and the penalty kill kept the opponent off the scoreboard. There's a lot to like in how Seattle played and it's even more important to see the team get rewarded for their efforts. Philipp Grubauer did leave the game with just under 10 minutes to play in period three. Martin Jones came in in relief and played well. There was no update on Grubauer's status after the game.
