SEATTLE, Wash. — March 8, 2024 — Today, the Seattle Kraken (@SeattleKraken) announced that they have agreed to terms with forward Jordan Eberle on a two-year contract ($4.75 million AAV).

Between his leadership in the locker room and his on-ice performance Jordan has been an important part of our franchise from day one, and we are looking forward to many more memorable moments with him on the ice.”
Eberle, 33, ranks fourth on the Kraken in scoring this year, totaling 37 points (14 goals, 23 assists) in 58 games. This season when Eberle has been on ice during 5-on-5 play, the Kraken have outscored their opponents 42-24 according to Natural Stat Trick. His 42 on-ice goals for are the most of any Kraken forward this year, and his plus-18 on-ice goal differential leads the team. The forward had a milestone game on Jan. 28 against the Columbus Blue Jackets – with two goals and one assist, Eberle became the first player in franchise history to score two power-play goals in a game, the second player in franchise history to score 50 goals in total with the Kraken and tied the franchise record for points in a single period with three.
Eberle, who stands at five-foot-11 and 190 pounds, has totaled 144 points (55 goals, 89 assists) in 219 regular-season games with the Kraken, ranking second in franchise history in goals, assists, and points (tied). He added 11 points (six goals, five assists) in 14 Stanley Cup Playoff games with the Kraken last season, which includes scoring the overtime, game-winning goal in Game 4 of Seattle’s first round series against Colorado. Eberle is one of 10 players from the Kraken’s opening-night team in 2021 that remain on Seattle’s active roster, with the others being Will Borgen, Vince Dunn, Yanni Gourde, Philipp Grubauer, Adam Larsson, Jared McCann, Jamie Oleksiak, Jaden Schwartz and Brandon Tanev.
Eberle has recorded 695 points (296 goals, 399 assists) in 998 regular-season NHL games, a career that has spanned 14 seasons and has included stops with the Kraken, New York Islanders, and Edmonton Oilers. He has tallied at least 30 points in every season he has played and has eclipsed the 50-point plateau six times. Eberle ranks in the top 10 among players selected in the 2008 NHL Draft in career goals (second), assists (seventh) and points (third) and is five points shy of becoming the 36th active skater to reach the 700-point milestone. He was chosen to represent his team at the NHL All-Star Game in 2011, 2012 and 2022 (making him the first All-Star in Kraken history) and was a finalist for the Lady Byng Trophy in 2012. In 76 Stanley Cup Playoff games, Eberle has notched 47 points (19 goals, 28 assists) and helped the New York Islanders to reach the Conference Finals in both 2020 and 2021.
A native of Regina, Saskatchewan, Eberle has represented his home country at nearly every level of international competition. He followed up his gold-medal performances at both the 2008 and 2009 IIHF World Junior Championships by being named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player and Best Forward, earning All-Tournament honors and leading all skaters in goals in 2010, taking home a silver medal with Team Canada. He’s also donned the Maple Leaf at the 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017 IIHF World Championships, winning a gold medal in 2015.
Eberle was originally selected by the Oilers with the 22nd-overall pick in the 2008 NHL Draft. He is expected to play in his 1,000th NHL game on March 12 against the Vegas Golden Knights.
