For the second time in 24 hours, Seattle opened a game by scoring two goals against a team holding down a playoff spot. But, also for the second time, that lead was lost in the second period. After Riley Sheahan and Yanni Gourde had gotten the Kraken on the board, Dallas was able to capitalize on one power play and a couple loose pucks to score three straight. Seattle had a strong final 20 minutes of offensive attack, but they were unable to get another puck into the Stars' net.
