50-50 Raffle 16x9 (3)

Kraken fans are about to join in the long-standing hockey tradition of 50/50 raffles at home games, but with a 2.0-type version. Beginning with the Sept. 26 preseason home opener against Edmonton, the team will be launching the Seattle Kraken 50/50 Raffle, presented by Washington's Lottery.
While other NHL clubs, plus the local Western Hockey League Seattle Thunderbirds and Everett Silvertips, have staged 50/50 paper ticket raffles for years, the Kraken will be offering up an electronic 50/50 drawing every game with proceeds splitting, half to the Kraken's and Climate Pledge Arena's One Roof Foundation and the other 50 percent going to a lucky winner.

Adult volunteers will sell the raffle tickets beginning when arena doors open until the end of the second intermission. The jackpot total and winning ticket will be announced during the third period. Expect some cries of joy from the crowd.
Ticket price points will start at $10 for one ticket. To up your odds and contribute to a worthy cause, fans can purchase 10 tickets for $20, 50 tickets for $50 or 200 for $100. Fans have to be 18 years or older to buy raffle tickets.
Fittingly, Washington's Lottery will be the presenting sponsor. For the curious, an electronic raffle system includes both software and hardware to create and log individual raffle numbers.
One Roof Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Kraken and Climate Pledge Arena committed to three pillars of action:
Proceeds from the 50/50 electronic raffles at three preseason games and 41 regular season home games during 2022-23 will fund efforts in these areas in the months ahead.
