The new sausage is inspired by the classic 'Seattle Dog', which legend has it originated sometime around the late 1980s and gained popularity outside late night bars in the Pioneer Square area, near downtown Seattle. And thus, it was a natural fit for Bavarian Meats, founded in Seattle's Pike Place Market in 1961, to reinvent the classic as one for people to enjoy at home and at the arena.
